
Civic Beautification Projects
The Salisbury Garden Club is active in multiple Civic Beautification Projects. Through these projects, our volunteers plant and maintain landscapes and gardens throughout our community.

Midlothian Post Office
SCG volunteers maintain the evergreen and deciduous plantings in front of the Post Office. Additional flowers are planted each year for seasonal colors, including fresh wreaths at Christmas.

Midlothian Volunteer Fire Department
SGC volunteers maintain and enhance planting at the old fire station and have assisted in planning for new landscaping at the new fire station. At Christmas, both locations are decorated for the holiday season.

Wishing Well Park
SCG volunteers enhance and maintain the plantings at Wishing Well Park to created a colorful and inviting environment for Salisbury neighbors to enjoy. A special emphasis is made to keep the garden pollinator friendly.

Episcopal Church of the Redeemer
In conjuntion with a church liaison, SGC volunteers upgrade and maintain the existing landscaped courtyard to created a welcoming entrance to the church.

Plant Together
Each year, SGC works with other groups in the community to share the enjoyment of gardening. For the 2022-2023 season, volunteers are working with the Redeemer Preschool to plant and maintain flowers at the entrance of the playground.

Daffodil Project
SGC volunteers enhance the beauty of our community by annually planting daffodil bulbs at a public location.

Anniversary Garden
SGC volunteers enhance and maintain the garden and landscaping established in 2019 in honor of the club's 50th anniversary.

National Garden Week
SCG supports and brings attention to National Garden Clubs, Inc. and the Salisbury Garden Club by offering activities and advertisement to the community during National Garden Week each June.

Salisbury Christmas Decorating
SGC volunteers decorate the entrances to the Salisbury neighborhood each December with fresh green wreaths, garlands, bows and lights.
